I'm through with TV - not interested in Darrens manboobs or Susans debt problems. Is this entertainment?

I've been suckered into watching tv of late. I don't know how it happened, gradual I think. But I find I'm actually sitting through commercial breaks waiting to see if Susan has ate another biscuit.. or if Mikey will retaliate to the new house rule, if a diagnosis is given for Kevin's itchy balls.. like I've been watching this rubbish and I don't know how it came about. But something happened and I woke up to myself realised I don't care if Sandra can look 10 years younger, I'm not interested in Darrens acne or anything else on TV for that matter. I would like to ask if the last television program you watch was REALLY worth the time you devoted to it??

I like cooking and enjoy the F word, but I scoot through the boring bits and adverts and just watch the cooking. So the 1 hour allocated to theF word in the schedules actually works out at 20 to 25 mins of watchable programme.
Makes you think doesn't it.

I watched 'Britains Lost World' about the islands of St Kilda, and yes, I think it was worth watching. I do watch some TV, mainly the News, Heroes, NCIS, documentaries and films (I recorded Capricorn One - as Sir Alec says, a great film), but haven't a clue about Susans debt problems and Darrens acne - you must be watching a totally different set of TV programmes from myself! Unless that is you're from the US as you spell programme the American way.
I watched MasterChef this evening but managed to miss some 10 minutes of it cos I was on *the other side* going boing boing boing... and waiting for the proper tv to start (ie instead of the tennis... lol). Previously I watched Top Gear the other night and before that it was F1 - Silverstone.... life doesn't get more exciting than this you know.
Thank you for responding, you mostly reply with documentaries, films and drama some of which may be ok. But there is so much reality tv on you really have to search for anything else. We even get grime busters in New Zealand shows. However I have just watched an original episode of Bat Man - ZAP BIFF BOP and suddenly I'm reminded of what quality tv is. Love it.
I've promised myself to assess what I'm watching and if I consider it trash I'll walk away.
Then:
Come here and rant about it..
hehehehe
I think I've migrated
