Would I be right in thinking that the first of the C clues, T and Z give the pointers to which of the two orientations to use? The previous answers indicate a different one to mine! Thanks in advance

I think your way is the wrong one, for the reason I outlined at the start (directional indicators in clues). If you don't agree, perhaps you could give me an argument for your way. Thanks

Agree all the answers, K. Just think you have to put them in in reflection. So Tubiform is 1d rather than 8ac, Quantity is 8ac rather than 1d, and so on. That makes more sense of the 'raised'and 'up' in T and Z, and also perhaps the 'row' in C (first clue). But to clinch it, the first three letters across then read T-O-P
