Thank you so much for putting the video onsite. I read about this amazing bird in the Mail today and have been dying to hear it. It's incredible, isn't it? Like most people I've heard numerous Starlings mimic everything from a phone to chickens, but never a Blackie. Thanks again!

Lol! Just played it - clever blackie!!! My old tame blackbird 'Yellowbeak' could imitate the milkman whistling as he did his morning round!!! The guy would whistle a tune (same every morn!), then the bird would copy him - all at 4.30/5 in the morn!!!! It was like an echo and started off the dawn chorus big time!!!

My pup is howling now after listening to the siren mimicking blackie!!! He's just gone off to investigate where the noise is coming from. Bless!!! x

Hi Cetti and Alfie,he's brill isn't he;-).I'vr never heard any birds doing the mimic thing,so,this is a great treat for me! Little does he know how famous he is eh? Hope the pup's stopped howling by now alfie lol

i watched the whole documentary and unfortunately after the bird makes the chainsaw noise david goes on to say that the birds mimicking the loggers that have come to chop down his home and make him extinct or something like that!
