I am stuck on two questions in the Theme From Dictionary Definitions -- A showy spirited person and An extension from the splinter bar of a carriage to take another horse. I know that the theme is types of ships and boats but I just can't match them up. I'm going mad!!

Anyone who is trying to get the Roudhon answer is that I have spoken to the quiz setter who assures me that the spelling is correct, but I can't find it either.

thanks for that suggestion, I'm afraid that I can't find a dandy boat or ship though.
Hi There. Firstly Roudhon is correct. I found it in a book called A to Z of Everything
Roudhon, NW Iran, Earthquake, 7.7 Richter Scale, 50,000 estimated deaths in 1990.

Regarding the definitions I agree with you. Although I only have half of them so far it is ships. And I am afraid I do not have the ones you have. I was hoping someone else knew lol Regards Al

many thanks, I actually have got that book but hadn't thought to look in it for earthquakes!
A Dandy is a yawl or ketch, so you were right in the first place!
Found these definitions for the word 'sharpie'

noun: a long narrow shallow-draft boat with a flat bottom and a triangular sail; formerly used along the northern Atlantic coast of the United States

noun: an alert and energetic person
