Sort of. I like entering competitions with a prospective chance of winning. The fact is that some, take the Mail's Prize Crossword, is sometimes very tough and needs addn resource to complete. I see answerbank as an extension of that, just as much as looking up on the internet. Take the Sir Lancelot with it's cryptic clues - I usually ask how they arrived at the answer so that I can learn as the more times you do it, you get used to the mindset of the compiler, and I love working things out. And then again, sometimes I am in a rush and just need the answer, coming back to my point of competition.
So, to me, answerbank is another extension of my Sunday ritual. And when I sometimes beat those who reply by a mere matter of seconds, it gives me a slight kick.
