Last time I checked, cowboys like to keep it simple. I have been looking up hypotenuse in cowboy lingo all night long and I just cannot seem to find it. The only squaring the Utah man would be doing is eating or dancin. I figure by Utah flats' terrain, the only triangle he comes across is Cheop's. He whoa's his horse cuz he just about tramples across some prickly pears. And since the first sentence says he drives a wagon 30 feet across the flats, I'm going to assume by no pythagorean theorum that he is 30 feet from where he started, cuz, Im a cowgirl and I like to keep it simple too!
Happy riddlin outwitters.
