Strange musical instrument
5 Answers
I was recently in Copenhagen and there was a busker sitting down playing an instrument that I've never seen before and was wondering if anyone can identify it?
He was sat cross legged in front of a metal flying saucer shaped object about 50cm in diameter, it was obviously hollow and he was making single musical notes by tapping the outside of the object in different places. The sound was hard to describe, almost like a deep xylophone with a nice echo to the notes. He was playing melodies that you could play with one hand on the piano.
Cheers.

They are the Catalan version of a steel drum. Saw several 'buskers' playing them in Barcelona.
