Does anyone know any flowering plants, or shrubs which are not prone to snail & slug attack? The little beggers have been running rampant in our garden for years now. But whilst some plants are scoffed right down to the roots, others e.g. rose of sharon, seem to suffer little or no damage. Any suggestions for future snail proof planting?
Set out beer (any type and stale is ok) in shallow bowls at night. They crawl in and die. Don't use pesticides and herbicides in your garden so you will have toads and frogs. They love to eat slugs and snails and are extremely sensitive to chemicals. Take a look here for more ideas.
