Hi madboutcats No 30 that was what I had (V) but as you say it only refers to the vehicle bit so still not sure ?
Also I`m I going mad but JMR27 has said No 8 is Grenada ( ANAG of danger + a ) where does the danger come from ? please help
8) No longer a hazard -- when turned = 7
30) Vehicle has turn enclosed = 9
Thankyou Freebi
I must be getting thicker by the minute madboutcats Where did you get (hand ) granade from ?.
Thanks smouse for your help and thanks again madboutcats Freebi
looked at clue and thought now what could be a hazard, and hand granade popped into the head, id also gone through an atlas and had written down loads of islands that i thought might be in quiz, grenada being one of them, and it was a kind of eureka moment putting the two together, which reminds me if you have put sri lanka for no21 change it to the camen as it must be another way of spelling cayman as just googled and got result.
Thankyou for explaining it to me and I already had The Camen I could see that one cane/sugar + m but with No 8 Ijust had it in my head it was a anag. of A HAZARD because of the (when turned ) silly me.
Thanks again Freebi
strange how the human mind works is'nt it, how one clue can be so easy for one person and hard for another, and how you keep seeing a clue as something but you know is just not quite right, like no21.
smouse sri lanka bothered me as sugar doesnt make an anagram of sri lanka and i was thnking at beginning before being thrown by sri lanka as answer of roman numerals m for thousand, and was trying to work it round brands of sugar ie tate and lyle and was getting nowhere, then saw it on here as the camen and was again thrown as its spelt cayman but now after finally googling the camen and realising it does exsist....its cane(sugar)+M, but then who knows how the quiz setters mind works, we could all be wrong and its some obscure island in the middle of the pacific that no ones heard of.
turning into a great debate this one freebi, hope you dont mind, now i can see glasmans point as now looking at it as glasman says anagram of sir alan +k, the quiz setter is really testing our minds, now cant wait to get answers back in early oct to find out which answer it is.
