hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this song, I have only heard two sections of it, but the lyrics I can decipher go as follows...(there might be a small error or two...)
"people fighting out wars on the world where we live, it's a hefty cost, you mustn't forgive, some get more than they need, some people don't make it, and there's no time to grieve (for grief?), but remember this..." *cuts out*
there's also another part I heard which said "it's the call of the hills, it's the..." *cuts out*
I have searched extensively, everywhere, for the past 2 weeks with these lyrics, and had ZERO luck. the song is definitely 60/70's era, reminds me of Traffic /CSNY/Blind Faith...slow song with heavy bluesy riffing guitars.
I need this song to use for a film project I'm doing, having this song will make it perfect. can anyone help?
It's the call of the hills
It's the way of the wind
It's your heavenly smile that's taken me in
Seekers search for the truth
Lovers hide in the night
Some get carried away on an endless flight
It's a hard life
We just gotta learn to understand
That we'll be alright
If we lend everybody here a helping hand
People fight in our wars
On the world where we live
It's a heavenly cause
Too much to forgive
Some get more than they need
Some need more than they get
Others watch while they bleed
Don't remember they met
When will it end
Where to begin
We're left alone to learn
Teachers teach in our schools
'bout the way we should be
they make all the rules
for them it's easy to see
we'll follow our hearts
we'll run with the tide
we'll stay far apart
'til we're on the same side
It's a hard life
we've just gotta learn to understand
that we'll be alright
if we help everybody here
it's a hard life
we just gotta learn to understand
that we'll be alright
we just gotta lend everybody here a helping hand
When will it ever end
just to begin again
it's such a hard life
