Hi, Would dearly love to know how you managed to get so far ! In my paper the acroos clue numbers don't match the grid at all - nor do the down ones ! Apologies if someone else has raised this before.
Question Author
Yes, it has been raised a number of times. There is no clue for 13 down (grid) and 2d clue has no space on the grid. Otherwise all clues are one more than the grid. Phew!!!
2 down should have been left in. Take one from most of the other clue numbers.
67d BARREL 67d BLATANT (goes across black square) 76a AUBERGINE (goes across grid)
Question Author
I have just seen that the answer to 67d(g) 68(c) is barrel.

Thus is 76a (g) 77 (c) just bergine?
Question Author
No wonder I was having trouble.
Thanks sohcahtoa. I see now that 2 down is aviator and 15a adulation

More of a bog up than I thought.
Look back at gen2 23/08/08 eight plus answers , I have intstucted how to extend the grid , the answers then fit, if I can remember them they are - pilot= aviatror, right side (sorry cannot remeber clue ) bottom, right 'Blatant, left top Adulation, and right bottom, aubergine you have to alter the grid by one black for white. Start with 2d Middle of 1a blank as in 'A' ( symetrical frame) Hope this is of use , Bye for now Gary
Sorry I said ,right side ,I meant 'left' senior moment or what?
see ,previous post the grid needs adjustment then it all fits in, kind regards Gary
