I have been wracking my brain about an old television programme. I think it was in the 1970's or 1980's. Two teams competed against each other, they were outside and had to find clues and overcome difficult situations like building a bridge over a river (minimum of tools and equipment provided). The teams completed the tasks on different days, so had no idea how the other did. They slept out overnight and had to build their own shelter and cook their own food, again with minimum tools and equipment. There was a presenter who I think may have been Bernard??? Please from these sketchy details can someone suggest the name of the programme.

Landrovers don;t run on petrol, they run on diesel, so the churn or petrol would be useless, and if the team had checked, they would have found that the Landrover's fuel tank was full anyway!
