I've been struggling with these last five in a quiz for the last four days and am now looking for help.
1 What creature is known as "wise man of the forest" ?
2 Which foodstuff takes it's name from a Minorcan port?
3 In which country was ice cream first produced?
4 Which Irish surname means "warlike one"?
5 At which sport have Keiji & Okada been world champions?
The last two have been posted before but nothing definite came up.

Thanks for those two - Mayonnaise I can see now but I looked at the map of Minorca for ages but couldn't make the connection.
I know Orang uhtan means man of the forest but is he also the wise man?, I seem to rwemember hearing the phrase in a David Attenborough programme and I think he was in Africa at the time. Trying to accurately recall things fropm many years ago is not so easy.

Many thanks for your replies, I thought Martial Arts of some sort was the sporting one but had not been able to confirm.
The ice cream one is contentious, Disregarding references to Nero and Marco Polo having eaten it I have recollections of Adam Hart-Davis' What the Victorians did for us referring to the penny lick, but that could be any time between 1840 -1901. There are refences to American ice cream parlours in 1861 & 1869, and I have just found a reference to Charles I having it which I will try fo find out more.
