16Ac. German to abscond leaving more debts (8). ?E?E?A?T (8). I think its " relevant ",(levant means to abscond and german is an obsolete form of germane) but don't see where the "re" and "more debts" come in. The "more" is italicised in the clue. Thanks in advance for any help

turned round and placed at the start
