I've just pulled myself through my first day of year 11 and it feels really really weird. In my opinion, year 10 had never really ended, there was no definate finish and now I've been thrown into year 11. The 'oh you've only got 2 terms then you're doing your exams' and 'last year's year 11s got our highest scores and we want you to beat them' speaches are hardly motivational. As for the teachers, their 'we'll be here for you all the way' attitude has suddenly evaporated.
French was dire; I've gone from grade A student to clueless bint in the space of 7 weeks.
Please, tell me it gets better.

It is a tough year, moomoo, but you will really need to knuckle down to get your GCSE's.
Then A Levels, where you will find 6th form at school or college a complete different ballgame and will be treated like an adult.
As for the French, it will be useful to get an A-C pass for some professions even if you will never utter another froggy word again. Same as science.
Teaching for example often require an A-C in languages and a science subject.
Pull your socks up and see it as an investment in your future. Otherwise you will be stacking shelves in Asda's, training at a beauty college or joing the military at a basic level.
Education is a right and MUST be used to its full potential.
Good luck.
