Can any1 work this out using order of calculations??

5 (4-2)� divide by 4 - (3-9)(8-6)

and could any1 exlain how they come to their answer??

Here is my two-pennuth:-

5(4-2)�=5x2x2=20
(3-9) =-6
(8-6)=2
-6x2=-12
4- -12=16
20/16=1.25

I get exactly the same--1.25. haven't used indices in 60 years, but you don't forget
