sarumite ; brilliant as ever, thanks
I have "day nettle" for 3d, giving me a Y instead of the e of nonce; and had "endear" for 37d, presumably now "enamor", usa for enamour.
if you would like an online reference to George Borrow ... Long Melford -

re eidolon / pl. eidola

(in other dictionaries)

Cannot see it in Chambers .... which is disappointing.

I wonder which dictionary Didymus uses!
The Chambers Dictionary (10th edition) does actually show eidolon (pl eidola) ... perhaps it's missing from earlier editions?
I have an edition that states -

This edition first published 2003 Reprinted 2005

Cannot find which edition it is .... presumably not the latest!!
Hi taize ... have been away grasscutting!! :O(

Chambers 10th edition was first published in 2006.
sarumite
