Can somebody tell me please if this is the correct translation ( shaneystar2 or swedeheart or anybody with Scandinavian languages).
vil jer gifte mig behage? = will you marry me please?
My girlfriend speaks perfect English and I'm just a complete novice!
As you might glean, I need the EXACT translation for :-
Will you marry me PLEASE?
Very grateful as usual for any responses (M)

Nordic languages are quite difficult .I speak fluent German and passable Dutch being married to a German and have lots of family there. My children are bilingual .Also lived a long time in the Netherlands and spent time in Norway when my husband worked for the oil barons ! So my other languages were a help as many words are similar and by reading stuff I could get the gist of it ..
Buy Danish newspapers( or get them sent over ) and watch films if you can get hold of them.
Get over there as often as possible and jump in at the deep end .
I have never learned anything from a text book ! Only just to look up spellings etc . I am a natural gas bag anyway and talking to people is the best way to learn another language .
All the best

Thanks a bunch shaney. That really was my intention. I'm from South Wales and know the Welsh language quite well really, considering we don't speak it there. So I've got a head start really considering languages.
Don't worry, the harder it is, the more I'm drawn to it!
I don't do the hardest crosswords here as I simply don't have the time, but do set some quirky puzzles!

Thank you jonina!
My girlfriend, Tulle is quite a bright lady and knows also about my skills, so she is probably "testing" me with deliberate mistakes in the sentence or phrase. She is as crafty as me so it seems lol!!!
She knows I want to be tested, hence that discombobulated paragraph or whatever it may be where a translator would give me a headache!
She does not yet now about this site yet, HAHA
