Can somebody tell me please if this is the correct translation ( shaneystar2 or swedeheart or anybody with Scandinavian languages).

vil jer gifte mig behage? = will you marry me please?

My girlfriend speaks perfect English and I'm just a complete novice!
As you might glean, I need the EXACT translation for :-

Will you marry me PLEASE?

Very grateful as usual for any responses (M)

Thank you sir.prize. I use this translator a hell of a lot but can't rely on it 100% not like somebody like gen2 or lie-in-king for example.

I have to be EXACT for obvious reasons and I'm a pretty exact person myself.
Will you marry me please will be translated in Danish as:
Vil du gifte dig med mig? I don't know where you got the other phrase from it sound like very old Danish and not make any sense to-day. Good luck!

Is there a really good translator on line shaney? I've searched and tried to use them but none seem good enough, not for me anyway!!
What do you want to translate? I would not mind giving you a hand.
A quick of testing the quality of an online translator is to enter text in a foreign language - copied from a book , perhaps - and translate it to English.

The grammar and syntax wrong is usually completely

:)

Oversae (ash for ae) er korrect. Den anden lille sae (ash) tning skulle vaere (ash) ganske nem ogsaa men jeg kan forestille mig at du kan fa lidt vanskeligheder med denne

Very clever answer ethel :-)
Not really ..a lot of them just translate word for word Ok on simple phrases but anything more complicated and they go haywire .
Nordic languages are quite difficult .I speak fluent German and passable Dutch being married to a German and have lots of family there. My children are bilingual .Also lived a long time in the Netherlands and spent time in Norway when my husband worked for the oil barons ! So my other languages were a help as many words are similar and by reading stuff I could get the gist of it ..
Buy Danish newspapers( or get them sent over ) and watch films if you can get hold of them.
Get over there as often as possible and jump in at the deep end .
I have never learned anything from a text book ! Only just to look up spellings etc . I am a natural gas bag anyway and talking to people is the best way to learn another language .
All the best
Shaney

The spelling of the words are wrong because some of them do not make sense. However it could be:

.....is right/correct.The other little thing/case should be quite easy too, but I can imagine that you could have some difficulty with this one.....

Thanks a bunch shaney. That really was my intention. I'm from South Wales and know the Welsh language quite well really, considering we don't speak it there. So I've got a head start really considering languages.

Don't worry, the harder it is, the more I'm drawn to it!

I don't do the hardest crosswords here as I simply don't have the time, but do set some quirky puzzles!

Thank you jonina!
My girlfriend, Tulle is quite a bright lady and knows also about my skills, so she is probably "testing" me with deliberate mistakes in the sentence or phrase. She is as crafty as me so it seems lol!!!

She knows I want to be tested, hence that discombobulated paragraph or whatever it may be where a translator would give me a headache!

She does not yet now about this site yet, HAHA
Keep her on her toes - Danish girls like a challenge!
Cheers!
