SO SORRY

Having found this site last night got carried away and asked lots of questions. Was rebuked and classed as lazy.

So sorry to have caused offence. It wont happen again - thoroughly chastised. Lizzyminto

dont know why you are sorry as i have said in the past thats what this site is for we are supposed to help one another however there are a few small minded people who use the site maybe they think that they are cleverer than us and they like to make us feel small dont let it worry you just keep asking thats what i do
Wasn't on last night and don't know what your referring to, but this site is for asking questions so ask away I'd say.

Welcome : )

dont think its asking loads - you will see lots of people will ask for more than that
Dont think with a quiz as hard as this lazy applies either

I think it's mainly that with quizzes like these its a bit early but keep and eye out and nearer the closing date there will be lots of answers given

Good luck with it
Lizzy. I think what annoyed people was that you'd taken up 6 (?) slots on the front page, instead of putting all your questions in a single post and only using one.

As a newcomer you couldn't be expected to know this, but not only do you take up too much valuable space on the front page, but .... at the moment we can't scroll back for more than 10 screens so stuff becomes unviewable much quicker.
Keep asking, we'll keep answering. Some of us feel good at being able to answer. Thanks or apologies are never necessary. Your motives are your business.

All the best.

Welcome, hope we can all help one another
I'm quite new to this too and its lovely to have found a site where people will share answers thta you have been mulling over for days if not weeks
As everybody has said lizzieminto, most members are more then willing to help and you'll soon pick up the few "unwritten" rules that one or two members try to enforce. As kettledrum says the one thing that annoys just about everybody is multiple postings when one would do, so welcome to the site
I think too, looking back at 24 hours of posts, that some ABers thought you were asking for help TOO early. Maybe the closing date is far away. I don't care. I am NOT the AB police.
Welcome to the Answerbank Lizzieminto!

You did not cause offence, all you did was ask questions which is primarily what the Answerbank is for after all.

The thing that most annoys me (and I'm sure others) is the posting of questions MONTHS before a closing date.

Some people have not even had a chance to look at this quiz before all the answers start appearing here.

Help will be freely and gladly given if you are still struggling with this quiz nearer the 30th November closing date

Many of us are NOT annoyed/offended if you ask for answers soon after the quiz is issued - this is an answer site - if persons do not want to know answers (still want to work them out for themselves) then they do NOT have to look at the question/answers given.

The Site Rules do not give any aber the right to decree when answers should or shouldn't start to be given ....

So, lizzyminto - ignore the whingers and bullies, also the self-appointed site police .....

(acknowledgement to Abraham Lincoln's original words)
"You can please all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time."

Have fun and ignore the arrows :-)
We aren't all "whingers, bullies or self-appointed site police"

We are simply asking - very politely - to show consideration for others doing this quiz and others.

Are good manners too much to ask or has the "ME - NOW!" attitude of modern society reached the Answerbank?
I agree that this is a site where answers are provided to questions ..... don't see any infringement of Human Rights in providing answers :-)

Many attitudes have reached answerbank .....

There is nothing wrong in providing answers - who is to be the arbiter of when answers should or should not be given?

What exactly has 'good manners' got to do with giving answers?

If you do not want to know an answer .... do not look at the thread - not difficult to do.
