Is it just me or was this one particularly bad/easy today?

On the subject of anagrams the 'Ximeneans' - adherents to the rules set down in 'The Art Of Crosswords', say there should be no more than 4 anagrams per puzzle.
As Ximenes died in 1971 the 'Araucarians' feel that is outdated and there should be no restriction.

A further thought on anagrams and Ximenes,
The setter who took over from Ximenes (Azed) recently set a puzzle where all the clues were normal, but the solutions had to be anagrammatised before entry to the grid.
Therefore all the solutions were anagrams, and Azed's mentor would probable had disapproved
