Hello again everyone and welcome to the third week in the rule of King Ulysses the Valiant. "Yes!", I do have a devious mind; which is a product of solving cryptic crosswords for over 30 years now. I send them in every week and am lucky enough to win several prizes each year. I admit that at least one of my links last week was obscure. I am thinking of "Papal Bull", but in my defence, that link was found within minutes by Christiana.
As you can see I am launching this posting myself this week. I am still not on broadband but a computer engineer managed to link me up to a dial-up, through which I can gain access to sites. I hope that I am successful in promoting this link.

As I said last week, I have an enduring love of all things concerning Mother Nature. Bird watching has always been a hobby of mine since my teens, but, over the past ten years, Botany has come to the fore. I often lead walks for The Wild Flower Society, and this year I led a training day on grasses for the Botanical Society. I manage to travel the length and breadth of the UK in search of wild flowers. One of the highlights of this year was climbing Ben Lawers in Scotland to look at some of the alpine flora that grows there. Unlike birds, at least the flowers stay in one spot (which makes them easier to study). This interest covers all vegetation from the most minute of plants (like Allseed) to the tallest of trees.

Needless to say, for the every day running of MM, I will follow the same rule as introduced by crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past .
My third set of four words to have their links predicted will appear below at 9.00am.
Good luck to you all.
