Have won a small prize with The Puzzler magazine, a few years ago. Have also won tennis tickets, books, meal for two at a local gourmet restaurant + a few other small prizes in recent times. Still, it is good for the brain, fantastic to keep the mind sharp anyhow!! Warm wishes from Devon to you Baitress, miles of smiles, Beatrice ;-)
As far as I know, the DT on a Sat is the biggest; it is 200 plus a copy of Whittakers Almanac, which is probaably worth 25 or 30 so worth having a look at that one. \it's hard though, and there are plenty of REALLY obscure questions in some of them. Answerbank helps a lot, but it's 350 years since any one man knew everything there is to know, so the knowledge is out there, it's just a question of establishing where it is!
Happy puzzling. I hope you have more luck than me; I have never one a single penny from the DTGK, despite finsihing it several times and sending it in by the deadline.

Thanks paulthewall :-) Have entered the DT GK several times with the correct answers by deadline just as your good self. Yet, keep being hopeful as one day your ship will come in! You will win. Determined to win this one day + will win, too! Sometimes, it takes many years for something you want to happen to actually happen- not just prize puzzles, yet, if you keep persevering your patience will be rewarded! The DT GK is difficult- agree, yet, quite interesting. Always learn something new by the end of it, too! Just interested as to what is out there competition wise. Enter the Daily Mail on Sunday GK crossword where you can win 1,500. Also, regularly enter the Daily Express Big Monday GK crossword where you can win 1,000. The Express cryptic crosswords- one each day of week( though usually only enter one in a week) prize is 100. The only puzzles I do for fun are the Brain Training ones on DS Lite!
Happy Puzzling Everyone :-) Good night ;-) Beatrice
