can someone interpret my dream?

It involved many things but the part i am worrying about is, i was diving underwater but i felt i was drowning so tried to come up for air. I realised i was really struggling and later found out i had been holding a baby who was dying. When i got out of the water a group of us were standing at the waters edge when a scarab beetle ran past. I was scared it would run over my feet and a guide tried to kill it. I think he did.

I know Scarab Beetles are very significant in dreams so now i am worried.
The dream also featured foxes + fox cubs, and the fact i was in much deeper water than my family and friends who didn't want to take the baby in with them, where it would have survived easier.

Thanks for any help, or even any direction to good websites as i have googled it but struggled to get precision meanings.

Haha, i know i sound crazy but you can't choose what you dream!

According to my dictionary of dreams, the meaning is as follows.

1) Drowning :- Loss of property and life, but if you're rescued you'll rise from your present position to one of wealth and honour

2) Dying Baby:- It's a bad sign to dream of a sickly baby, you will have many sorrows of mind.

3) Beetles:- There was no mention of Scarabs in the book, but it said To dream of seeing Beetles on your person, denotes poverty and illness, but to kill them is good.

Ok, make of that what you will. It isn't my interpretation, but that of The Dream Dictionary by Gustav Hindman Miller.

I would personally say, your dream means you are feeling constricted and held back in your life, but if you take the correct measures you could come out of the situation in a positive light.

The baby could be your inner child and your need to find a rescuer to help you, but you somehow feel alone in the sense there's no family who you can ask for help or confide in. Killing the beetle means you will overcome any difficulties you are faced with.

No problem Ladybug, glad I could help. It is annoying when people answer a question with a stupid joke or comment. If they don't know they should just not reply. This site needs to go back to basics and back to what it was designed for.
