Recommend when ordering anything at the store you dont pay by cash. I did and cause they messed up my order I cancelled it. Was told they cant give me cash refund (some legal jargon) and would have to be credited on to my debit card which was Visa Electron. Told would be on my account with 3-5 days, checked this week told its going through, today still not on my account, checked with their call centre told cause its Visa Electron card it has to be processed manually as they have a problem with the electronic payment and will take up to 2 weeks to process! Could not even go on another card as shown pending.
Its diabolocial they have my cash and they did not process the refund till I chased, so probably have to wait 3 weeks now.
The word shabby service and thieves comes to mind.
I have written a stonker email to them probably get some fickal reply.
So be warned - its the last time I use them.

actually lindy, i dont agree - you say you will probably get some fickal(?) replt to your email - my bet is you don't get a reply at all!
Three weeks is lucky - it took 2 months for me to get my money back from argos when they were meant to deliver an order to my house (never arrived)

After a month of them telling me they couldn't refund me as it was with a courier (despite me specifying the date for delivery), I claimed the money back through my credit card company

I dread to think how long it would have taken if I'd waited for Argos!

Well just an update, emailed consumer direct who recomended send a letter to the head office which I sent on Monday and as Cilla would say suprise suprise my money was back in my account on Wednesday. Whether the letter speeded things along I dont know but after being told last week a manual update can take 2 weeks suprising it was in much quicker after sending letter.
Somehow wont be using them again!
