Lowri's tirade on stay at home Mums...
Looking at the Mailonline today I found this related to an article I was reading
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3 70266/A-plague-smug-Stay-At-Home-Mums.html
I found this highly insulting and although it was written in '05 before I was a mother I would still have found it insulting then, devaluing what my own Mother had done for me.
Just wondered what other people thought? Although, as Lowri says
'Still, at least we are functioning intellectually.
Too many full-time mothers allow their brains to go as soft as overcooked spaghetti. They are intellectually stunted by a steady sink into a totally child-centred life.'
The mental effort of writing this has drained me now....

Nah! Schlomo that doesn't work either, because when you are getting peace to go to the toilet (if you actually get time when you are at work!) then all you do is have your conscience nagging at you for not being at home. Once you have children, peace is a very rare commodity whether you work or not.
Ha, I like that! I'm not a WAG, I'm a SAHM! Excellent.
I think Lowri did mention a lot of them had all the extra help, but she seems to think the rest of the world outside the media industry/high paid jobs do too. I just resent being called brainless and having nothing better to do than compare recipes and nappy prices..
.although Tesco are doing a good offer on Pampers at the moment...lol

I have a girl and don't like Pampers! I only got on with Huggies and Boots own brand, but Boots only do small packs.
I am going to Sainsburys after work too Red :-)
Oh, and Sainsburys wipes are really good. I don't like the "posh" Huggies or Johnsons or Pampers wipes :-(
(I so didn't think I would be having this kind of conversation a year ago)

To me Turner has one of those faces you really want to smack..............and that is before she opens her mouth. With her track record of getting rid of husbands when pregnant or virtually straight after giving birth I don't think she has a right to pontificate on anything to do with chidren or family values.
I'd never heard of it Red but I just joined :-)
It's funny how we all have our own preferences, my SIL won't use anything but Pampers, my friend swears by Tesco's own and another friend by Sainsbury's own.
As soon as my Boots points reach about 20 I buy myself something nice as a treat - I only have about 6 on there now LOL

No Rosetta, you got her right the first time I think!! She would be horrified at our nappy discussion no doubt, although I do think she has showed her point is moot as we all seem to be more coherent than her!! lol!
I have a boy and I prefer the Huggies on him, the pampers always leak!! Why is that?!

With the kidstart site you must go via the site to buy things. Ive got 10 in the last week just for buying xmas stuff that i was getting anyway. You still get all the discounts, advantage points and bargains that you would do normally too :)
