X Factor - Farce Factor more like.....
36 Answers
Is anyone, like me, getting totally dis-illusioned with X Factor. I am beginning to think more and more that it is fixed. WHY OH WHY did Austin get voted off? I had tipped him to win. There are much weaker performers than him, Daniel, Euogheiuuieoiueeioin (Owen), was particularly weak on Saturday. Rachel is just scary. Owen (or however you spell it) sang so many flat notes on Saturday yet the judges said he was brilliant. I'm thinking of taking my TV in for repair cos they either the sound settings are shot or they were listening to a different song to me.
What do you think...????

I agree. Austin should still be in and how that Eoghan is still there is beyond me, also nice guy though he is, Daniel.
I think Daniel is there because of his sad story, and Eoghan because older(and younger) voters find him 'cute'.
Neither are as good at singing as the girls in my opinion.
The voting by the judges is just about point scoring and should be abolished and it should be just left to the viewers' votes.

.... and excuse me if this sounds a little harsh.... but his hair... whats all that about? Its getting bigger by the week.. don't you just want to set fire to it? (I'm talking about Owen again, I would spell it properly if.. A) I could and B) the vowels on my PC wouldn't wear out oh and C) I could be ars**d.)
I agree about eoghuean...erm eaghon.... eaorghan? Eoghan?
Especially regarding his barnet, he's like Worzel Gummage's love child.
But I am afraid that I am very glad that Austin has gone. Ok, it's nice to see a man shed a tear / show emotion now and then, but that bloody great pansy cries more than my daughter and she is 7months old and teething dammit.

I could never see the appeal of Owen from day 1,nothing cute about him at all.Him and Daniel are cr*p.
Personally i couldn't care which group has which mentor,i dont think it adds anything to the programme having them battling against each other...who cares? I think Louie voted Austin off to get rid of one of Simons group.Austin was great.
Oh my god!!! Imagine Owen & Daniel in the final,if that happened i'd never watch it again.

It's the viewing public who makes these shows a farce, instead of judging the contestants on how good vocally they are, they vote on how fanciable they are or how nice they seem to be, or how sad their hideous sob stories are.
Austin was one of the top five vocalists in the show, along with laura, alexandra, rachel and the boy band., of these laura and alexandra should be shoe ins for the final two, but with the viewers as tone deaf as they seem to be who knows.

I agree lucky boy, but unfortunately the gullible viewers are guided into their decisions by the way the show is presented and produced. So it's not really a talent contest at all, just Saturday night light entertainment.
I have never voted on any TV programme!
I really think it has lost it's appeal now.

Basically it's an entertainment show, which I watched in the early stages because the wannabies are usually so awful at singing.
Once it has got down to the final 12 I no longer watch as all the tears / hugging etc is so cringngly bad and in the voting off it's so tactical. What will Louie do if JLS go? Just sit there like a lemon?
In the good old days we had New Faces and Opportunity Knocks. Brill, all the entertainment and nobody was under the illusion it was fair or the best act won etc.
At the end of it all most of the people featured will have either a recording contract or at least a wider public profile as they've been on primtime national tv for weeks. They all 'win' somehow.
As for the winner(s) remember Popstars winners Hear Say lasted 18 months, the runners up Liberty X lasted six years.
