House Alarm - Accenta 8 - how can I remove tamper light flash
11 Answers
Recently an electrician came to fix an exhaust fan in our kitchen, he switched off the main power supply (for the whole house) so he could fix the fan. When he left, I realised that 'tamper light' from the control panel flashes constantly. The control panel is to activate/de-activate my house alarm - accenta 8. The tamper light constantly flashes every 1/2 second. I did try to remove the tamper light by pressing 'reset' button but it does not work. However I am still able to activate /de-activate the alarm. Please can someone advises me on how to remove the tamper light? Many thanks

I'll have a look in the engineers book I have for the Accenta 8 MIni tomorrow and let you know...

Try this link it gives you the Accenta 8 user manual but I think you will need the engineers manual....

Can you try, prog then 9999, which is the default engineer code, if this works then all is good, if it doesn't then it means an engineer reset which will mean taking the panel cover off and blowing the NVM chip so is goes back to factory settings, sounds hard but it is easy when you know what your doing....
It isn't easy for a novice, the only thing you can do is search around in your area for a small alarm business that can do this for you and ask them all for a quote, if they say that the alarm is now obsolete they are trying to sell you another alarm, the Accenta 8 is still being sold in the alarm shop I use.
