Anyone else noticed that Kate Mepham slipped up by asking us in 26 down for the German novelist awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1946- yet Hesse is Swiss not German?

One cannot choose where we are born, but Herman Hesse chose to be Swiss and to spend a great deal of his life in Switzerland.
