*E*A*N. Unfortunately the only answer I'm able to find by googling is Demesne which obviously does not fit! where am I going wrong please. B

starmack, many thanks & so quickly. wonderful.Oxford Ref Dictionary does not have that. I could only see it as 'tomorrow'! dooh.B

The full credit goes to octogenarian. The answer had defeated me all day 'til I saw his posting. Had tried Tenure etc as answer. Even though I live near a demesne, never ever saw the other spelling on maps etc.
