MM Links November [Week 4]
57 Answers
Yes WAKE UP THERE(I can hear you yawning) it is Week 4 of Sir Strix the Currier and even after this weekend there will still be one more set of Links from me for you to essay. Last week the floodgates opened and the good ship S.S. Strix was almost inundated with correct answers. It was a veritable tsunami. It would seem there now needs to be some sort of check taken in this headlong gallop 'ere crofter's abacus becomes knackered. So let us kick on for Week 4

Like King Ulysses the Valiant of last months MM Links I have always been surrounded by flora and fauna, in which I have taken a keen interest. Though, unlike his Majesty, I would have trouble telling the difference between Catnip and Dogs-tongue. My interest has been more in animal life of the four-legged kind, of which many have passed through my life. Four-legged beasties need much looking after as well as feeding and exercising. There also so many breeds, bits of kit that they need and an arcane language that accompanies them all. I mean what is a mask and what a rudder? What is a pad and what a paw? Why do you have to say a brace rather than two or a pair? Why two and a half couple rather than three? All very confusing to the uninitiated, but probably deliberately so!
However before my maritime adventures, detailed in last weeks Links, when I set sail for Chile and my other travels overseas, I had become involved with the lady who is now my wife. Her interest in animals was even more intense and involved than mine and as the years moved on and as she became more and more successful so I became more and more subsumed into her way of life. I, eventually, at gatherings of similarly minded people, would wear a sweatshirt with the words General Dogsbody emblazoned upon my chest as I assisted at her competitions.
Now it is time to reveal why the revered seekeerz has been off air this month. In truth, seekeerz and her husband have been playing host to the Lady Strix. However, you will see that seekeerzs score this month has, thus far, been, to be frank, pathetic there has obviously been no collusion (sorry, S!). Possibly seekeerz may have more luck this week as she has the same interest in four-legged animals as my wife. Last week Lady Strix apart from helping seekeerz with her own competition also attended a 4* competition in the Land of Oz, the only such competition in the Southern Hemisphere. Yes, my little munchkins, we are talking equus.
Needless to say, for the every day running of MM, I will follow the same rule as introduced by crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one or more of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My fourth set of four words to have their links predicted will appear below at 9.00am. Good luck to you all.
