MM & KM Links Nov 2008 [Week 5]

We are coming to the end of the 5-week reign of Sir Strix and what a reign it has been. It has been a roller coaster ride for point scoring, but eventually the scoreboard is now looking quite healthy. You have as much idea as I as to how the final act will unfold in an epic whodunit (or whowilldoit)!
I am talking now of who will succeed to the throne of MM-Linkland and see out the year 2008. Sir Strix will be a hard act to follow ~ even if he doesn't climb Mount Everest wearing only boxer shorts. This week, he has been under the weather, so I have hardly heard from him. As events have unfolded, I shall need to leave the Croft tomorrow at 08.30am and return about 09.30am, so if the gremlins are thinking of striking some time, tomorrow morning's launch would be an ideal time.
As I predicted, the Shrubbery Squad had a whale of a time last week scoring bonus points hand over fist as Sir Strix spiralled out of control. Will the same happen tomorrow ~ I wonder? If all goes to plan, the launch should open at the usual time of 08.45 tomorrow, before the MM link words are disclosed at 09.00 (sharp) and Sir Strix sets his final set of four words to be linked!
I still do not have a clear picture of what is happening on the transglobal sister game (called KM Links) so keep your eyes peeled from one minute past midnight (onwards)! It is still following the same format dictated by the Herculis Crossword in The Daily Telegraph. Most entrants try their hand at both competitions ~ so why not you?
Me? I'm crofter, keeper of the scores for MM Links and I collate the predictions and keep the weekly League Tables up to date.
Good luck for tomorrow, when Sir Strix will try once more to bamboozle you with his chosen predictions. Will he succeed? I know of 40 or more AB-ers who will try every method to foil his plans.

Kay, I can assure you it has nothing to do with Adam and Eve, if you can believe it!

nearly 9.30 - not too bad for me and with daughter arriving shortly I thought I'd better be on deck.
The boys do too much tearing around to feel the cold I think] but they do snuggle up at night and our weather's gone berserk again so the nights are cool.
and are you still keeping the house await with your 'barking' Sir Strix ??
