"pharmacists" should take some beating
Pharmacists?
SURELY this is a GFQ or GBQ question? We don't ask on forums do we? We have fun working it out. The closing date is NEXT YEAR! The quiz only came on Friday.
Fred - Feel free to ask any question you wish here. Some people don't seem to understand that this is a Q&A site, yet still insist on berating those who dare to post a question.
Its not one I do and while I agree its a Q and A site surely it isnt wrong to think they could have waited a bit or just suggested they used this site then everyone would have been happy

Yes, but that website doesn't give the longest word that can be created, which is at least one letter longer than 'pharmacists'.
Now you've spoiled the fun GMR and I was so shocked that squarebear's back saying post what you like blah blah I had to stop and think whether you've was spelt uve.
At least it won't matter if Quizmail questions are asked as there's no prize money next year. Is just for fun.
I wonder what's happened to freddieW she says tongue in cheek?
squarebear - what you have failed to appreciate many times and seemingly, continue to do so, is that some quiz setters have specifically asked that their quizzes are not ruined by lazy people asking for answers on here and like sites - rather than doing the hard work and finding the answer for themselves.

I fully realise that this is a Q&A site, but I am not alone in drawing people's attention to this problem. If it is berating, then are you not doing the same?
Hi Tallulah! I'm still here! Happy Christmas!!
I do not have an answer to offer, But having seen all the correspondence on this site regarding whether or not questions from GFQ and GBQ, should be posted Surely if the clever people who do not need a little help are out there , Why are they clicking on to the site anyway, I rest my case.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
hobnail - I think you, like squarebear, are missing the point. The quizsetter for GBQ and GFQ simply does not want his quizzes to be ruined by people asking for answers on here or anywhere else-thereby turning them into a lottery. From my point of view, it's not a case of looking for answers on here, it's just that when you're searching the "net" (doing the work yourself), invariably a "hit" appears on AB where someone has asked for an answer.
What you are saying then Boys in Blue, is if when you are trawling the net searching for answers to GFQ, you come across the question posed on the answerbank - in theory you should ignore it and not look to see if the answer has been given, but continue to look for it yourself?? If this is so, then why are you on the answerbank yourself, and if you find the answer here, do you use it?? I think so!!
freddiew - very presumptious.
I do not use answers from AB - I use answers I have found by my own hard work. I cannot see the point in using answers provided by someone else - and then as many do, boldly claiming afterwards that they have won! I think it's called pride or ethics.

To use someone else's answers, in my eyes, means the people are so desperate to complete the quiz/crossword - but for what reason? The majority of these charity quizzes, etc. are not for life changing sums of money.
freddiew - just realised, it's not the first time we've discussed answers is it.

Are you still ruining GFQ and GBQ by asking for answers, against the wishes of the quiz setter?
You are correct boysinblue, we have discussed answers before!
You are saying then, that you find your answers ONLY by your own hard work?? Do you never ask a friend then?? and can you HONESTLY say that if you found an answer on here then you would not use it?? I am sorry if I am being presumptious, but I am obviously not as honest as you because I know I would! - and if you do not use answers from AB then why are you on here?
Incidentally - I do not feel I am ruining a quiz for anyone by asking for a HINT to point me in the right direction. Some of us need a little (and sometimes a lot) of help now and then.
