There are a few of us that bring in either home made cakes or bought ones through out the year, then christmas starting rearing and suddenly start getting boxes of shortbread and tins of sweets, total overload, but there are some cheapskates at my work the ones that buy the cheapest stuff and think that they are doing us a favour, never bring in anything any other times, but are quite willing to fill there faces on whatever others bring in regularly!!!

It wouldn't enter my head to buy something throughout the year for my colleagues, but some of the girls do and without reservation, encourage the biccies and choc to be eaten.
To complain about the price they have spent when they DO return the favour at Christmastime sounds ungrateful. Damned if they do and damned if they don't?

You are fortunate that you all take turns, sadly about a third of our staff never bring anything in,i tease them though, especially when there donation to the christmas goodies is a cheap box of dutch shortcake biscuits, well going to make chocolate eclairs next week as one of the guys loves them, going to make him a giant one,and will check the rotas to see who is on!!!!
If it's that much of a problem, why not just take your usual stuff in and if those that dont buy try to take some, say that it's not on offer to them as they, themselves, dont share.
Failing that, why not just take in your own stuff for yourself?
And failing that, stop taking in altogether.
Got to agree with Lakitu on this one, though....
