Best I can come up with is 1+bi +S(weden)

I though Ibis like you, but can't see the wordplay. S is likely to be Sweden, but all I can find for ibi is that it is Latin for there or yonder. It might help if we knew what the answer to 12 was.

12 is straightforward
Thought along those lines also Dave but not happy with ibi for 12. So possibly ibi is split into i+bi, hence 1+ bi(=2) but all a bit dodgy! ja
Perhaps yonder could be straight forward (as opposed to straightforward) but that's about all I can offer. Dave

I had thought of ABBA (palindrome, vague connection with straight and forward, and BA is airline), but PASTA looks solid and ?B?S can really only be ibiS. The Latin ibi does not appeal but from 12 we have 1 and bi = twice.
