First of all, many thanks to the five-star rated crofter, firstly for posting this and next week's links for me as I will be AWOL, and secondly for encouraging me to set the links in the face of such dereliction of duty!
In fact, as you read this, I should have set sail from Ushuaia and be traversing the South Atlantic Ocean en route to The Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica. This was planned last February, when I had a carpe diem moment as I looked at some stunning photos of Antarctic glaciers.
The first port of call will be West Falklands and Port Stanley, with Christmas Day spent in Grytviken , an old whaling station and the final resting place of Ernest Shackleton.
Whereas I can be assured of some snow this Christmas, I wonder what will the weather be like for you - a fairy-tale winter wonderland or the more usual damp and cold.
And are the carol singers knocking on your door yet?
Even more importantly, has the Christmas spirit of generosity and goodwill to all managed to permeate through to my links?
Devoted as I am to the "rools", I will follow those introduced by crofter Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one or more of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My third set of words to be linked will appear below at 9.00am.
Good morning all. I haven't scored any points at all so far this month, so let's see what happens this weekend. I think that it'll be another low scorer :
WHITE knight
Verey LIGHT
fortNIGHT

Good luck !
Wishing you all the best for the festive season.
