how about angel fish.angel goes on top of a xmas tree so I suppose that could be tipped.

sounds ok, but sadly the answer only has 8 letters, i was trying to think of the name of a fish (maybe just 3/4 letters and then a word that means tipped, but not getting anywhere, mind u i have seen someone has posted the same ? on wikipedia so i think this clue is puzzling everyone, thanks for your help though
