Agree! All MoS crosswords not too bad today. I've just started to look in the answerbank for 15D of Sir Lancelot. Germ of a plant -e-n seed

Found the answer looking further back - fern seed. Would never have got it!

well I'm not hungover must be the cold has frozen my brain I don't seem to be able to think. perhaps a new brain would have been an ideal xmas gift

They must have changed the complier a few months ago as it has been really easy of late. I think it's been dumbed down. Not a challenge like it used to be, doesn't warrant looking in an encyclopaedia at all!
