You really are a fool, Beatrice35! Have you had a look at Chambers dictionary recently?
Gurkha or Goorkha or
n a member of the dominant people of Nepal, claiming Hindu origin, but Mongolized, from whom regiments in the British and Indian armies were formed.
The answer to this crossword clue appears to be Sherpa but only because that fits. Your supposed research has let you down again!
I wonder why you were banned earlier?

Thought it was ghurka previously then did some research especially as noted that someone else put Sherpa then realised from my surfing that it was Sherpa. Am not a fool + care not what you think - especially you ;-). Answer was banned as could not see my post posted so kept posting- spammed- problem with AB site. Know about the military connection with Ghurkas- did you honestly think would not know this- maybe you did as you have such a low opinion of me, sadly?! Yet it is Sherpa that is the answer according to my sources/research. If Kate Mepham decides that it is Ghurka then so be it- will not lose any sleep on the matter
:-) Hugs to you pbeach :-)

Ghurka's originiate from N. India not Mongolia

The second link states that the Sherpa's belong to the Mongolian race.
Ciao, Bea :-)

And I could give you dozens of other websites that suggest that Gurkhas are of Mongolian descent! You have only gone with Sherpa as somebody else had this as their answer and it was the only one that fitted the letter pattern anyway. You are being very disingenuous to claim otherwise.
Quite why you bring up about the military connection of the Gurkas, I have not the foggiest idea - it is irrelevant and I cut and pasted the whole definition of Gurkha from Chambers purely to save time. Quite how that suggests I think that you may or may not know the connection is beyond me!
I am sorry for your neurological condition but you give too many wrong answers, especially on cryptic questions and should realise that people do not go around giving angel hugs to others as there is no such thing.

Catron, Have spoken to all my friends- they all say Sherpa as the answer. Nothing disingenuous about me or foolish about me whatever you may say or think. You are entitled to your opinions yet why you have to stalk me with your ridiculous comments is beyond me. Still your unkind words are like water off this swan's back. Answer more right than wrong as it happens. Also, of course there are angel hugs as there are angels . Have been hugged by angels so would know as talk from experience. Angel hugs to you Catron- (i) angel hugs (i) Ciao, Bea :-)
Shutzengel- Many thanks for your kind words. Big angel hugs to (i) you (i) Thanks for standing up for me. Yet, really okay as am quite a strong lady so if there is anyone to be picked on rather it be me than anyone else- especially someone who may crumble instead. She is the one with the problem, not me. Many blessings be unto you Shutzengel- know that you believe in angels as Engel is german for angel ;-) ;-) Ciao Schutzengel, your friend, Bea :-)
Sorry Beatrice35, but you are simply wrong - you answer wrongly on cryptic questions more often than not - I simply would not say anything if that were not the case. Time after time I have seen wrong answers from you.
Yes, Sherpa is the correct answer on this occasion - did I not agree with that?
Your logic is so 'fuzzy' that you can say that Schutzengel believes in angels simply because they have chosen that as their username? Do you really think that everybody who has angel in their username believes in angels?
It is that 'fuzzy' logic that means that you get cryptic questions wrong so frequently. I do wish you would see this.
As for Schutzengel's remarks - you were banned, it is a simple fact and to pretend that you chose Sherpa over Gurkha just from research alone, as you have done on your first post on this thread, is disingenous - as you only agreed with others once you knew that Gurkha did not fit the letter pattern.
There is also the fact that you appear to have researched using the rarely spelled Ghurka rather than the more usual Gurkha. Please do not say something is certain when there is absolutely no certainty at all!

Catron- inspite of you spite/venom, wish you well + hope you soon see the light . Hope you have an angel hug you tight or ghosts come to visit you like Ebenezer Scrooge to change your heart from one of stone to one of kindness. For your information Schutzengel is a fan of angels- have already established this fact by talking to him. To be honest, have nothing to prove to you- you have already made your bizarre mind up about who I am even though that is a very distorted image/ untruth. Can see it is pointless chatting with you any further, besides this is what you want me to do so will not give you the satisfaction. Have plenty of friends so do not need to waste time with enemies like you. If you come to me, in the near future with kindness/humility will respond- that is if you have a change of heart.Until then,Adios, Bea :-)
Adios Beatrice35 - you have proved my point again today by getting answers to cryptic posts wrong more often that you have got them right.
I am sorry you will not see that you are doing no good by answering incorrectly and that you would be better answering in another section where you can do some good.
Venom? Spite? Oh no, that is all in your imagination! I just want you to stop giving wrong answers - after all, giving right answers is what this section of the site is all about.
