there seems to be an error here. 6d is the region of italy which is abruzzo. but 16 acrfoss is NOT gaudo ... it's gaudi. sd what gives?

a final word. it seems it stopped being abruzzi in 1963 and became abruzzo. the clue is misleading

I think it depends where she looked to find the information. I've just check another Atlas and that has Abruzzo. :-))

Surely Abbruzzi is the genitive of Abruzzo - so capital OF Abruzzo could therefore be Abbruzzi ?? OF calling for the genitive ending ?

I don't care about the argument, except to say I do the crossword online - it will only take the answer that they want. And the answer was ABRUZZI (right or wrong)
