I keep in contact with freinds from school, surely if used for dating you would be adding people you dont really know. I have lots of settings on mine too where you cant see my profile until I accept you

Facebook is a way of keeping in contact with my friends and finding old friends from the past.

I don't add people unless I know them.

I'm pretty newish to facebook - how do you alter the settings so that only you approve can see your profile? At the moment I am a 'blue-y' and am open to all and sundry...

If you want a very private facebook, use a totally fictitiious name that only the people you want to access it know.

salla, you can click on settings (top right) then "privacy" to select the settings you want.

I suppose it's the same for any form of forum / social networking sites. The outcome of conversations depend on the intentions of the individual.

I use face book to keep in touch with friends and as weeal mentioned, a few of the ab girlies.
