number 1 can the answer be frick when i dont think he english i have an edward field HELP ME

I think George Frick was from the USA,I do not know if he emigrated from Cheshire.
Did you find reference that Edward field filled all thecritera of the question.

thanks yes i found Frick as an american and no mention of being of english origin.I found that Field was involved in the making of boilers for the original steam engines AND had right number of letters for name ha!still surfing for more info

I have just seen your post about Wragby Swimming Club's "F People" quiz., and can confirm that the number of letters in question 1 should be (5,5) NOT (6,5).

Really sorry about this, and will post this correction again a few more times over the next few weeks.
