i think your remark about my query was very condecending.i had a question marked wrong in the est christmas quiz( how many candles are there in an advent wreath) i answered 4 the setter had 5 the fifth candle is optional the four candles represent the 4 weeks of advent. i'm not complaining about being marked wrong, just pointing out that the person who doesn't make mistakes has not yet been born. to err is human etc.

I found the Advent Wreath answer to be 5 quite quickly in a book such as Brewers Dict of Phrase and Fable. I don't use the web much until I've checked all my books.
I did the EST quiz but I too had questions marked wrong that I considered correct. eg Gone with the Wind. 4. I read the whole 800 pages to confirm it.
I found another Christmas Quiz online which had all my 'wrong' answers. Maybe the Quiz Setter found that site too.
I'm doing the latest EST quiz and it'll be my last as the charity is changing. Already people have been asking. It's really annoying.
So yes chorley I erred too but at least the donkeys got the dosh!
I'm sorry I was 'condescending'. Forgive and forget etc.

chorley, I don't think it's decided.
I still don't think I was condescending with my reply to you. Perhaps it isn't the question I think. Some of my replies are Scathing. I found your answer of 4 candles in the same quiz I found online but that was after I got my 'wrong' answers back. I've still got to read Gone With The Wind' as I did speed reading down the centre of the pages!

the answer i am refering to is when i asked if question 32 which king was played by danny kaye in a 1956 musical film. i have an answer with est in it for a 1956 danny kaye film but he did not play a king .anyway i suppose i should have asked on the fundraising quizzes site in queries. perhaps i am missing something , thanks again for replying all is now forgotton.
YOU are the ony one I will give a hint to but I think you are barking up the right tree with the movie you have.
My answer is one of the characters but not THE king. I must have found it in a movie book or maybe in wikipedia
EVERYONE is having a go at me even those I was helping.
I don't usually subscribe to questions. I didn't find out how to access the replies until last week and I've got 1,000 to plough through! And lots weren't condescending.
Good Luck.
