fairly easy today except for 9 down which should be STATIC but that does not fit with anything else ?

Yes thank you Julie - I had no idea that STRAYS could mean electrical phenomena - have not found it a dictionary yet but it looks like Spitza has - so thank you both - I was stuck

Nowhere could I find Static as a synonym for Stray/s but Stray is another term for atmospheric interference.
