The annual Whittington Cricket Club Place Names quiz is now ready. All answers are the names of places in Great Britain. �50 prize for winner. Question sheets cost �1 and can only be obtained by sending a SAE and �1 (coin or cheque payable to Whittington Cricket Club) to Barrie Taylor, 23 The Spires, Lichfield, Staffs, WS14 9RP. Quiz closes on 31st October.

I don't suppose you could request people not to post questions from this quiz on Answebank until at least September-ish.

It might give genuine quizzers a chance rather than pander to the "bounty hunters" !

I am on the point of giving up having a go at the selfish "no-brainers" who continue to post questions thinking that no-one will notice if they do it a bit at a time.

I also never bother with the quiz site on mondays as it is full of "crossworders" all of whom seem to be asking the same questions over and over again - do they never read the rest of the posts on that day.

Grumpy doesn't quite cover it!

For Zacsmaster: Last year's quiz raised over �600 for the cricket club. However, a lot of this was raised by selling to visiting cricket clubs and to the public in the pub after matches.
For QuizmasterG: I think it would be a good idea to ask people not to put the questions on Answerbank until September and, in publishing this now, we can promote it. However, we cannot enforce it. Thanks for your sitesaver web site address, which I have now used to post the details of the quiz.
