I have been unable to find that answer and was on the verge of giving up. I have searched all of my reference books, crossword dictionaries, googled until I'm blue in the face and not found it. Once I got the answer I googled it and found out it is a variety of Jacks. Which I remember playing as a child. I have never heard of it before but I sure won't forget it now.

thanks juliesy - much appreciated. I have to say I'm almost frightened to ask for any help after all the correspondence. I tend to forget about the date of a puzzle if I'm working on it and after really trying I come to AB either to ask or to help

I look for who ask too many or too early and dont feel you fit in that category
