One answer is slippers, yes, but surely it's most famous for Cognac (and Pineau de Charentes acc Wiki, which Ive heard of but never tried. Anyone tried it?)

Raebet - Poitou Charentes has the highest number of hours of sunlight in France and consequently attracts a huge amount of naturists from all over. I only came upon the place in travelling through France and my answer to your question was perhaps a bit tongue in cheek, however if you ever go there you'll know what I mean - wearing slippers could be described as being over-dressed in some places!!
