What is the smallest, whole, positive number that you can oput at the end of this number list to make it a palendromic sequence (it is not the most obvious one(s))

4. Though personally I'd support the reintroduction of the death penalty for anyone using the old "ha ha, it's roman numerals really" supposed "twist" in number puzzles.

Oh dear!  When I saw this question yesterday I immediately thought of Roman numerals as a possible answer, but I have just realised that when I wrote it down to check it, I wrote down

 

VIIXIIIVIXIIIXI-

 

instead of

 

VIIXIIIVIVIIIXI-. 

 

I therefore thought that it was the wrong answer, so I didn't say anything.  I've only just realised I wrote it down wrongly.  Can I have three stars anyway?
