Have asked this in Quizzes and Puzzles and Chatterbank but still haven't got what I think will be the right answer.

It's definately not the hockey player as I googled him for a photo and it's nothing like the photo in the TV Choice.
Dot, the J comes from Oz and James, the F comes from Fiona, the princess in Shrek.
The P comes from Insipid as in bland,the N comes from Sweeney as in Claire and the R comes from Ibrox, Rangers stadium.
I've alays managed to finish this crossword but I might have to give up this time.
There is a photo of the man in question on the crossword page and his face is familiar but I just can't get his name.
