Last clue in the Huddersfield Examiner crossword: Nibble at a bit of Brighton Rock. The letters are E?O?E. Erode would seem to be the answer, but what has Brighton Rock to do with it? Any ideas? I don't like to put ion answers without verifying them!

Sometimes cryptic clues do not make sense to me even when know that the answer is right. Nibble away - strongly suggests Erode. What it has to do with Brigthon do not know? Fairly new to cryptics self. Hope someone can soon shed light on this for you. Good luck! Warmest wishes, Bea :-)
What was the clue going into the first E- just to ensure that that letter E is correct, please? You need Lie-in-King or tyrepill or Pbeach here to help you- three geniuses.
Warm wishes, Bea :-)

Can't remember exatly- it was something like "Vicar at the jumble sale shows all" - REVEALS. The first E is what I take to be the first E in ERODE. But worry not, it'll soon be time for the next week's puzzle. Incidentally, the same crossword appears in the Deccan Herald, Bangalore- but some months or years behind. Also interesting (to me anyway) is that it's been going for years using only five different grids. How do they - or the compiler- do it!
Hope you'll enjoy being cryptic. Multiguess. Second thoughts: Brighton Rock was a song by Queen. No, no help there.
