Last clue in the Huddersfield Examiner crossword: Nibble at a bit of Brighton Rock. The letters are E?O?E. Erode would seem to be the answer, but what has Brighton Rock to do with it? Any ideas? I don't like to put ion answers without verifying them!

The first E is what I take to be the first E in ERODE. But worry not, it'll soon be time for the next week's puzzle. Incidentally, the same crossword appears in the Deccan Herald, Bangalore- but some months or years behind. Also interesting (to me anyway) is that it's been going for years using only five different grids. How do they - or the compiler- do it!
Hope you'll enjoy being cryptic. Multiguess. Second thoughts: Brighton Rock was a song by Queen. No, no help there.
