Lucy the Pussy has balls!
7 Answers
My 7 month old kitten has now been spayed, chipped and labelled with a lovely new collar with her address and phone number, so is now allowed out to play.
Boy does she love it.
I have just had to go out and drag her in as she was chasing next doors dog up the street!
They have a skye terrier who was out for a walk on her leash and Lucy was chasing her, completely unconcerned.
She has also been on the roof of the shed and up the other neighbours tree. I have bother keeping her in.
Should I be concerned or pleased that the cat is so bold?

you should have seen him in the snow, he couldnt quite make it out.
i think it wears them out, does yr kitten sleep longer in the evening and all through the night now. I know ours does.
I miss him when I am at work but he has always got someone to play with at home.
have fun xx

Hi both,
Yes we are having fun!
As for the sleeping, she had got herself into a habit of being out until about 4 then coming in and sleeping until the evening then expecting to get out again! But that was last week when we were all at home.
We cant get a cat flap at the moment, so until we sort something else out, she is in until I get home at 3.
We are thinking of putting a cosy space for her in the shed and putting some food and drink there and leaving the door ajar so that she can stay out while we are out, but that will have to wait til the weekend. At the moment she is jumping in and out the livingroom window but I obviously don't want to leave that open all day with no-one home!

Hiya, annie - I'm so glad that your little lass is "finding her feet" outdoors! She sounds like a right little madam, who's not scared of anything (yet! The time will come, no doubt.) My little Cleo (3 & a half yrs old now) has always been very brave - she goes out in the morning, when we get up and I can usually get her in before I go to work, but sometimes she just won't come home and I have to leave the cat flap on "in only" for her. She does know how to open it from the inside, though, so that kinda defeats the object, although it stops Mischa going out. Mischa is now about 7 months old and is gagging to go out. I'm a bit worried, though, because as she's only got 3 legs, she's unable to climb trees (it's one of her front legs that's missing) and because we live in the countryside, I'm scared she'll get chased by a dog and be unable to escape. Perhaps I'm being a bit over-protective as all my other cats go out. I'll let her out at weekends, when I'm here to keep an eye on her. K
Hi Kleiber, yes, we wnt for the boldest kitten in the litter, I thought with two boys at home that would be the best idea, but now I am not so sure!
I can see why you would be worried about your little one, but she will be sad stuck in when her buddies are all out.
Supervised expiditions sounds the way to go for now - I am sure that she will adapt - can you get her a little bolt hole that is dog proof so that she has somewhere to run to?
I also thought I would share with you the great collar I got for Lucy - although she is chipped, I thought it would help if she just wanders a wee bit too far into another street and loses her way!
It's not my web site and I am not on commision, I just thought it was a great idea.

Thanks, annie - I like those - might treat Mischa to one (red would look good on her, as she's pure black, not a single white hair!). I bought her a little harness last week, but had to take it back to the shop, because she wiggled out of it within about 10 seconds. Only having one front leg has its advantages if you're a kitten who's mum wants you to wear a harness!!
Misch managed to escape this afternoon, as I was letting Cassie out the cat flap. She sat outside on the patio, had a look around & then came back to the flap & yelled to be let back in! As I write, she's curled up on a stool, next to my chair. K x

Aww cute! Lucy is black as well but with a small patch of white on her throat. She has the pink collar, and a reflective jade one and one with blue flowers on it and her original pink one with little hearts on it. Best dressed kitty in town!!! It has been very windy today so she has not been that keen to go out and has instead expended all her excess energy beating up the kids - she made my son cry because she kept jumping on his head and running away!!
